GANDALF’S FIST UNLEASHES THE MYSTICAL TALES OF CUMBRIA WITH "SONGS FROM THE SOLWAY" SPECIAL EDITION
UK Prog-Rock wizards, Gandalf's Fist, is set to revisit the “ancient north” with the release of the much-anticipated "Songs from the Solway" Special Edition.
For the very first time, these hidden gems from the band's 2011 EP are set to resurface as a revamped physical release, breathing new life into some of the band’s deeper cuts. The Special Edition, housed in a professionally pressed CD digipak, showcases with stunning new artwork and a captivating full-colour booklet that unfurls the historic narratives of the folklore of Northern England.
The EP, having undergone meticulous remixing and remastering under the watchful eyes of the Fist, invites listeners to rediscover the rich tapestry of Cumbria's history, replete with tales of Kings, Monsters, and Ghosts. In the true spirit of Progressive Rock, Gandalf's Fist invites listeners to join them on a twisting ride of folky passages, heavy riffs and nautical yarns.
Gandalf’s Fist guitarist and man behind the mixing desk of the project, Dean Marsh, commented: "It’s fantastic to be able to finally give this record the release it deserves, some of these songs from the first few months of the band’s inception are really fun and have perhaps remained hidden deep within the well of our discography! The EP also actually contains one of our favourite tracks from the early days in the epic track The Regency Rascal”
