Don't be fooled by the cover picture, this is not a church related album, quite the contrary! No, this is good old blasphemous type of attitude brewed in a black metal cocktail. The production here is quite adequate to convey their message. This is not the raw black metal style. Here we have a pretty powerful release filled with punchy drums and fat basses. As an aside, while listening this CD, it came to me the possibility that those punches could have been programmed, or at least some of them, due to a certain mechanical sound. In any cases, this album is powerfully pounding, so it's ok!
To make things even better, this release contains those moderate parts that come with the crushing riffs. Then, you have the wicked and deep rasps telling all the blasphemies (just have a look at the track listing). Hell yeah, this is the head banging black metal people. You won't get anything too complex or off the wall being presented, but some efficient kick in the mouth extreme music. My overall favorite track is: "Via Crucis", while an honorable mention is given to "Seven Devils of Ejaculation".
The Royal Arch Blaspheme is what you need to crush away those long winter nights.
