Italian Death Metal band HIP have delivered their first EP with S.T.A.R.S., as far as I could find. The band, consisting of Stefano Sebastio - Vocals , Fabio Carretti - Guitars & Vocals , Marcello Tavernari - Bass & Vocals , Lorenzo Mantovani - Guitars & Leads , Andrea Pollastri - Drums, have tried to make the EP worth your while at just over 20 minutes playing time. Highly energetic music, with growling, grunting, and Clean Vocals. Who does which vocals I really couldn't find but it is of little importance. The five guys have succeeded in making an EP they can be proud of as it's a good mixture of sound, and quality playing by all. High speed distorted or just plain clean all sound well done.
When you start listening you really wouldn't think this one had to do with a death metal band, so very smooth, clean and well sounding the starter track has been made. "One Second Our Eternity" takes off and makes me like to think if the boys were'nt better off going in a more progressive Metal style instead of the Death Metal style in the next 4 tracks.
The EP is 6 tracks long, and I cannot help that I have a distinct feeling that HIP need to move in the direction of track one and 6, as both are instrumentals but of a sublime kind.
A hint from my side guys, consider this, it is not my business but I think you are better off that way, as that's your 'grandeur self' at your very best.
