Finland may be a very cold country but they seem to have some hot metal bands. This 3 song demo from up and coming Intervention proves the point as they give you an all to brief slice of righteous thrash metal goodness. With lead guitarist Johannes Leipala providing some real old school riffs and Tuomo Marttinen giving you a growling taste of death metal vocals, these guys bridge the gap between the old and new with a cool sense of what will appeal to both types of fans.
"The Mortal Shell Of Man" starts you off with a major blast of in your face metal and then they show their more melodic side with "Rattlesnake Sin and Forked Tongue" before they melt your face with the title track "Growing Line of Caskets". These three songs show so much promise that it is a shame these guys have not found a label to help them get out a full length CD. It will not be long before they gander the attention of someone if they continue to put out this quality of work.
I have really enjoyed this disc but as with most EP's of this sort it is over way to soon. I will eagerly await their full length disc and hope that they can get it done soon. This band has all the tools to become a major player in the market, they just need some support.
