This Russian band was formed back in 2003 by guitar player Pavel and vocalist/author Mikhail Nemirovsky. They had a demo, Autumno Ineute and a single called "The Last God" that same year.
This is a single composition release that last a bit more than 38 minutes. I must say that it is not the type of album that will be easily digested by a lot of music fans. First, there are no songs and the vocals are the narrative and monotonous words of the lyricist, all done in his native tongue. The music itself is like chapters between the words of Mikhail. Besides the various noises, electronics and percussions (?) are the melodious guitar parts. Those divide into two main categories. You have the melodic tones and then there are those distorted, and the sometimes rather crazy, guitar work. On more than a few occasions though, you can hear pleasant arpeggios with clean riffs and a cool touch of spacey, even psychedelic vibe settles. Most of this album is quite laid back actually with some heavier, almost Crimson-esque references at times. Personally, I really enjoyed the melodious middle part of this album, when both clean guitar sounds are present.
I Am Estrangement. Limits. Solemn is melodic, adventurous and kind of strange all at the same time. Not for everybody.
