Whitehorse: Progression

OK, I've tried, I've really tried but I simply can't find a way into this one. Apparently, according to the record label Whitehorse have, "has united members of Melbourne's underground music community, enlisting members from the punk, grindcore, experimental, and noise scenes, to create crushingly heavy sludge-metal layered with electronics." It would be easy to say that they've remained underground because they make records that nobody wants to hear – so easy in fact that I'm going to say it.

If I had to listen to the opening 'song' "Mechanical Disintegration" ever again it would be way too soon and in fact, let's broaden it out to the rest of the record shall we? I like noise for noise sake but there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason behind the noises that Whitehorse make. Just horrible.

Track Listing:

  1. Mechanical Disintegration
