This is a ten tracks, 32 minutes extreme metal release alright! Opening with great crushingness and power, "Death's Overture" sets the paths for some major head-banging. Those riffs and tremolo pickings are quite juicy and the screechy vocals are spitting their venomous hellish message all over the place. The first few tracks like: "Lord of Chaos" and "The Black Flame Spirit" are not too bad, as well as "Serpent's Empire". They have variety in tempos and monsters guitar works. Most of the album though is aimed at the very extreme metal fans with a liking for the fast and furious mode, which actually goes well with the concept of this band and the high pitch vocals. The compositions are not too long, in the 3-4 minutes range fortunately, nonetheless I was happy when the album ended. A certain redundancy is showing up as well as a bit of generic feel after a while. These are good musicians no doubt, but they lack the originality that sparks the interest in their composition. The album ended with an instrumental number made of electronic samplings; some relief for the ears.
Dark God of Eternal is no easy listen and is aimed at the hardcore extreme metal fan.
