Lionville is the AOR/melodic rock supergroup led by Italian singer/guitarist Stefano Lionetti, that also features drummer Pierpaolo "Zorro" Monti (Shining Line), keyboard player Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge Of forever, Eden's Curse) singer Lars Säflund (Work Of Art) as well as other guest like Bruce Gaitsch (Richard Marx, Chicago, Peter Cetera), Tommy Denander, Eric Martensson (W.E.T., Eclipse), Sven Larsson (Street Talk), Arabella Vitanc (Alyson Avenue) and more. Lionville is a feast for those into classic bands such as Journey, Toto, and Foreigner, so you can expect 80's styled radio friendly fare that includes soaring harmonies, catchy choruses, shimmering keyboards, and tasty guitar licks. Plenty of memorable numbers here, such as the hook laden "Here By My Side", "With You", and "The Chosen Ones", but the band is at their best when rocking out a little more, like on the Foreigner incluenced "Thunder In Your Heart", a rousing number with powerful lead vocals, crunchy riffs, and tasty keyboards. "Power of My Dreams" is another winner, a mid 80's styled rocker with catchy hooks and some driving riffs that wouldn't have been out of place on a Journey or Nightranger album back in the day.
Hard to fault anything here, as Lionville have put together an addicting slice of AOR/melodic rock that just reeks of class from start to finish.
