Martinelli, Kevin: Che Guevara Practices Telekinesis by the Dodge
Kevin Martinelli, on the home page of his website describes his music as "uncommon music for uncommon people". It's a fair assessment, though this ambient music is rather well structured and diverse.
The album is a wonderful diversion from today's news headlines, full of well-produced and composed sequenced samples and keyboard manipulations. This music doesn't really fit any category of music well. There are jazzier moments fit within an ambient sound. It is primarily electronic music with plenty of percussion effects.
"Obstacle' with its proggier feel and 'Col's' cool rhythms and warm synth sounds were the highlights for me. 'Yamunotri' also has some excellent peaks and valleys with some added sitar like sounds.
If you want something different, with a heavy influence of electronic and keyboard sound this might be a great audio vacation for you.
