Italian progressive metal unit Heartache is a band that shows massive potential. This disc which contains one movement from their four part suite "Apophis" and the song "'98" along with snippets of the rest of their upcoming disc Empty Gardens Of Sky whets the appetite but is too little to get a real good grasp on the band. I would say that fans of Spock's Beard or similar bands will enjoy what these guys offer but we will have to wait for the real thing to get here to know for sure.
The song "'98" is my favorite of the two full tunes on here. It is a mixture of light almost popish sound with heavier progressive elements mixed in. Early Dream Theater comes to mind musically. If they can keep this type of sound for a full length disc it is sure to be a winner but we will have to wait for The upcoming release to say for sure.
