Beer drinking, bar room brawling, rock 'n fuckin' roll never sounded so good. Brand New Sin's no frills attitude to music has to be applauded. Who needs the over polished production multi layered keyboards washing over your pedicure gloved digits. Raw guitar driven rock is where it's at and who am I to argue, like feeling the wind through your hair this is unashamed biker rock. 'The Lord Come down' through to 'All My Wheels' it's as if this was recorded in the club room of a biker hangout and its all the better for it. This is soaked in atmosphere, so much so you can smell the grease off the Harley's however some acoustic interludes offers time for that visit to the bar or John then suddenly catching you unawares with ripping wah, wah led solo's as found on 'Elbow Grease'. This is an album full of rage and fire towards life's struggles, 'Goddess Of War' is sheer class, hooks aplenty and killer well crafted solo's. With a couple of cover versions to round it off (What Do You Do For Money Honey, and The Wizard) this is an album that has grown on me with repeat listens. Kick back, grab a beer and sit on the porch pissing off the neighbors with some Brand New Sin pumping through the neighborhood.
