Dire Omen: Promo 2011

Dire Omen is a four piece set metal band coming from Alberta, Canada. They have recorded an introductory three compositions at the Lunar Sonics Audio in Edmonton. This CD is a twelve minute ride of solid death metal music. The First and last tracks, namely "Your Chose Hell" and "Dire Omen", are of the classic death metal style, with some black metal edges. Their music is kicking, technical and brutal, while not without a certain melodic feel. The tremolo picking leads accompany the crunchy guitar tones and the drumming comes in with its double basses and punchy parts. The growls are more than appropriate in conveying their deathly poetry to the masses. In between, "Serpent's Child", is a moderate tune built on military drumming, distorted arpeggios and quitter guitar and drums moments.

All in all, a decent, well composed and played promo CD done with professionalism. To make things even better for the fans of this genre, one can download the disc on their myspace.
