Himora: Argue All You Want

Pleasant. That's the overriding feeling one gets listening to this one. It's very, very inoffensive but not in a dull way. Himora are a 70's kind of band that you can take home to your mother. If I were to offer any criticism of Argue All You Want it's that it isn't raw enough. I'm confident that for instance, "Birmingham" (as in "I want to go to...") could be enlivened by a raucous guitar solo rather some restrained noodling along with a harmonica.

In some areas Himora walk a dangerous road towards blandola - "When the Boys Are Back" sounds too close to Red Hot Chilli Peppers at their worst, something which is never a good thing. There are plenty of nice melodies and some quite quirky lyric in places but there is the feeling that there's nothing wholly special about Argue All You Want. That said, I think something similar about Kings of Leon and Himora are a million times better than that!
