Apparently LLVME have suffered some line-up changes since Yía De Nuesu was recorded. Given the quality of the album this is somewhat disappointing, however, the line-up of Nandu S. Prieto and singer Eric have come up with a fine album that they themselves compare to My Dying Bride but which I just say is one of the better doomy-type records of recent times – mainly because the music (and I've no idea about the lyrics) is quite involving and uplifting in a way which is similar to the Russian band Arkona.
To be perfectly honest, Leonese Pagan Metal may well be amongst the most niche markets out there but the atmospheric yet rocking songs which inhabit Yía De Nuesu deserve to gain a wider audience than they actually will. I particularly enjoyed listening to this in the ancient city of York here in the UK which seemed apt as LLVME are the type of band which ordinarily one would expect to find on Napalm Records but here find themselves on My Kingdom Music.
