Beer, Guts & Glory: American Pride
Florida Hard Rock/Metal band, Beer,Guts & Glory have issued a 4 song ep CD called, American Pride, through their own marketing campaign and it is as good as their name is. Beer, Guts & Glory sound like your local garage band that made a demo for their friends. Problem is it sounds like that demo was recorded with a boom box set in the middle of the room with the record button pushed down.
Sonically, it sounds awful, with terrible songs and equally as bad musicianship. I spotted twice, out of the 4 songs on this CD, where the drummer and guitar player both stumbled in what they were doing and completely messed up the timing of the song for a second or two. These are the types of things that bands first make mistakes in doing when they first are learning their instruments and on the first songs that they write themselves. It's more embarrassing then bad, to be honest.
Beer, Guts & Glory are that Southern Rock cliché where the songs are all about drinking and guns, etc., problem is their songs stink. They sound like a bad mix of Hatebreed meets The Ramones when The Ramones were 15 years old and started playing music last night. There is nothing that I liked about this EP... next.
