Pyrexia: Cruelty Beyond Submission

If there is a hell Pyrexia may very well be the house band. With crunchy, billowing riffs that scorch the soul Cruelty Beyond Submission doesn't exactly come across as the kind of thing you'd play for Granny as she spends Sunday morning coming down. And, like many metal outfits from New York City, Pyrexia is far from comprised by a bunch of dummies. Tracks such as "Ode To Brinn" and "Confrontation" strike at the heart of social and personal issues with a passion for exploring one's personal understanding of truth. This has band has been doing what it's doing for over a decade, with little sign of slowing down, mellowing out, or ignoring the world and its wicked, wicked ways.
