Striker: Armed to the Teeth

I didn't have to read the bio to realize that Canadian band Striker are influenced (heavily) by Saxon and Iron Maiden. One listen told me all I needed to know on that score. The bio actually suggests that Striker, "ignites a firework in which rigorous riffing, playful solos and brilliant refrains are clearly the prime focus," and "With every note, Armed to the Teeth breathes the spirit of the glorious 80's and revitalizes this particular era of music with a boost of fresh energy."

These claims are entirely debateable for Armed to the Teeth is by no means as sensational as those quotes would suggest but in songs like "Lethal Force" and "It Could be Worse" there is the suggestion that the hyperbole may have some substance. There are indeed riffs aplenty all over this record and fans of traditional heavy metal will find much to satisfy them here.
