Macia, Manoel: Animal Invisibles

Manoel Macia is a virtuoso Galician guitar player from Madrid, Spain who participated in the first record of Galadriel and was a member of Guitar Craft with Robert Fripp. He lists Steve Hackett as one of his influences and on "Animal Invisibles", you can hear many similarities between his music and that of early Hackett.

Although Macia bounces well between electric and acoustic guitar, he does a great job of combining their sounds. "Piedras" was an early favorite for its Hackett – like feel. "Huellas En Tierra Quemada" is an excellent reminder of early Genesis sounds balanced well with some accompanying keyboards. The blistering guitar solos will bring back memories of some of that Hackett –era Genesis guitar for any fan of the band.

"En El Jardin De Una Esfinge", is an over ten minute masterpiece which is the best track on the álbum.

There is plenty to enjoy and relax to here. Well worth the Price of admission.
