According to the press release that accompanied this album, Chaos Reigns is a compilation of songs from several of the bands vinyl releases. As a result I don't know if this album is really indicative of a Nuclear Death Terror album, but man does it ever slay!
The best way to describe Nuclear Death Terror is like a cross between crust and death metal, with a heavy emphasis on death metal groove at times. The songs take a lot of elements from crust, such as super-short and to the point songs and an almost punk like feel to many of the tracls. However, at the same time the songs are obviously death metal at the same time. A nice little combination that in many instances sucks, but in this case tastes like chocolate and peanut butter.
After checking out Chaos Reigns I am going to have to dive into Nuclear Death Terror's back catalog, which I hope is as good as the songs on this album.
