There have been so many bands over the years in the hard rock/metal spectrum going by the name of Bullet, but not a one of them had any staying power, so here we go again, this band hailing from Sweden and scoring big on Nuclear Blast with Full Pull. These guys have actually been around for about a decade now, with Full Pullbeing their fourth full length release, and obviously Nuclear Blast saw something special to scoop them up and sign them to their roster.
To these ears however, there's really nothing at all special about Full Pull. Most of their songs are quick, run of the mill AC/DC, Krokus, Accept styled hard rock/metal songs, with lead vocals straight out of the Brian Johnson/Udo school of leather lunged singing but with a healthy dose of Nazareth's Dan McCafferty. Sure, '80s styled anthems like "All Fired Up", "Rolling Home", and "Rush Hour" have a certain charm to them, and to be honest there's nothing truly awful here. It's just we've heard this sort of thing before, and the last thing the world needs is another AC/DC or Accept clone band. That being said, there's no doubt going to be a market for this band and plenty of fans willing to get off on these familiar sounds, so if this sounds like your cup of tea, by all means go for it.
