Wömit Angel: Sodomatik Rites Of I.N.R.I.

After a suitably menacing intro combining 80s sci-fi keys and a demonic voice chanting "Sodomatik Rites" over and again, Wömit Angel's sadistic blackened, thrashened, punkened, metal is unleashed. And what a filthy beast it is. Simple, effective, blunt and brutal, this is like being buggered by a bulldozer (I assume). Rabidly wrapped around J-Violatör's ruthless riffs are W. Horepreacher's gruesome and eccentric black metal vocals. Given the artwork and the track titles, it's a pretty safe bet that the lyrics revolve around all kinds of depravity from sodomy, rape and lust to that almighty of antagonists, Satan. While Vile Anarchy's drums are an unremitting barrage and J-Violatör's guitar is a wall of black metal distortion, W. Horepreacher's bass is just grotesque. It's everything that this slab of offensive grime needs to give it that sharp edge to make the album's impact so much more painfully, disgustingly abrasive. Check out the bass solo on 'Killing Starts'. It's ridiculously grubby! Uncompromising, fevered and incredibly catchy, Sodomatik Rites Of I.N.R.I. is unadulterated blackened barbarity. There's no better way to spend your day than listening to some of the most aggressive, chaotic, filthiest, and raw homages to all things nasty, naughty and downright evil, is there? Get this.
