Eversin: Tears On The Face Of God
Eversin are a new band to myself that play epic, yes, that is "epic thrash metal", and as far as metal bands go this band plays catchy metal that really kicks arse. So after reading the notes about this band I was expecting to hear a great deal of grand style Thrash; just take look at some of those thrash screaming song titles such as "Nuclear Winter" and "Death Inc." but Eversin actually just incorporate thrash metal into their heavy material. It is this blending of thrash/power/progressive metal that gives this band something different and it works creating a powerful balanced mix of metal variety.
Tears On The Face Of God is so good partly due to some very enticing instrumental inclusions of the heavy variety that truly add to the attraction of Eversin's latest. "For the Glory of Men" is the first example of this and is there really a better way to kick of such an album than with a ballsy pace alternating instrumental performed by some talents musicians?
Eversin's Tears On The Face Of God is of course about more than motivating musicianship with cracking solos and titanic riffs so on to the vocals which in this case are of the clean and hardened variety adding to their darkened musical devastation. As a total effort Tears On The Face Of God is one impressive album sure to grasp the attention of those metal fans that elect to give it a go.
