Recovery Council are a trio whose members are Rebeca Qualls who is guitarist/vocalist and chief songwriter and she's in cahoots with Isidro Santos on bass with Jeff Trenholm banging the drums. Acts cited as influences include Husker Du, Sonic Youth and Helmet as well as Iron Maiden, early Metallica, and Rush, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, and Toque Profundo who like Isidro Santos hail from the Dominican Republic. It's interesting to note how little Recovery Council sound like any of those acts; the closest act I can think of (and even this is probably because of the female vocals) is Liz Phair especially on "Resolve". Recovery Council play lo-fi rock music which may well be more suited to other websites as the music is pretty basic but the songs are thought-provoking yet raucous.
