Picture Me Broken: Mannequins (EP)

This four track EP from Californian alternative metal five-piece Picture Me Broken is their third release so far and serves to whet the appetite for full length opus number two, Corrupt Me, due later in 2013. Vocalist-keyboardist Layla Brooklyn-Allman has her own distinct style and is capable of moving seamlessly from the soothing piano ballad 'Beautiful Disease' to full out metalcore screams on the riff heavy title track. With slick production and a broad range of ideas, PMB seem to be striking the right balance between heavy and melodic. Add that together with the inevitable attention that having a female vocalist will bring they have the crossover potential to succeed.
