Liveware: A Look Inside the Mirror

Liveware play, according to their YouTube site, "Melodic progRock from Germany." To be honest, unless I hadn't done some research I probably wouldn't have especially tagged the band as being especially Germanic, however, having listened to A Look Inside the Mirror I can confirm the excellence of their music and that yes indeedy, they do play Melodic progRock. Nowhere is this more evident than on the excellent "When Winter's Gone" which flies by even though it is over six minutes long, such is the quality of the song and the arrangement.

The album has been out since October 2012 and I can't believe that I'm not reading about it everywhere as it is much, much better than much of the rubbish currently out there. Songs such as "Dreams of May" would sound awesome blaring out of the radio. This is one of those absolute gems that come around occasionally amongst the slew of samey stuff which populates too much of my inbox. If this had been released in 2013 it would be pretty high on my year end list.
