Goddamn Electric, The: Snake Bite

The Goddamn Electric are from Manchester, England who have ,"a mutual passion for all things music, drink and women." Fortunately the rock'n'roll tendencies win out over any potential chance of the dreary dad rock of say, ooh I don't know, Oasis from the same city. Instead we have a kind of Black Stone Cherry vibe going on here. In fact imagine BSC fronted by Spike from the Quireboys and you wouldn't be far away from The Goddamn Electric's sound.

Songs like "Morning Injection" are played with swagger and if the band aren't exactly pushing the envelope of newness there isn't any sign of a duff track on here. All the material sounds like it can be reproduced faithfully live and I think that even in the hard rock wasteland of Northern England The Goddamn Electric have a real chance.

Tremendous, Huh!" in "Scarecrow". As well!
