Wasted Puppies was founded in 2011 in Rovaniemi, northern Finland and settled into its current line-up in 2012. This 4-piece draws its influences from the classic rock acts such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, G'N'R, Kiss, Whitesnake yet manage to sound not much like any of them yet very much in a classic rock vein. There are three songs on offer on this EP and it is difficult to describe them beyond 70s tinged guitar rock well-played and worth a listen. Recently I read an interview with REO Speedwagon's Neal Doughty who is of the opinion that in these digital times releasing single tracks is the way forward. Wasted Puppies haven't offered much more than that but what they have unleashed definitely makes me want to hear more.
