Death Valley High: Positive Euth

If I was fifteen, I'm sure I'd love Positive Euth. From the Murderdolls/Wednesday 13 style opener "Bath Salt Party" to the more modern metal "How2Kill", the band has quite a lot going for them. Whether the confines of Sea of Tranquillity is the place for them is less sure. This is kiddie metal – and I really don't mean that in a pejorative sense, although perhaps I do. Parents will be annoyed, teachers will pull their hair out, bus rides will be intolerable; all thanks to Death Valley High, but scratch behind the surface and there's less going on than the frantic performances suggest.

Some of the songs ("Batdanse" for instance) show a degree of stretching out – in this case towards new wave and electronic but overall despite the album's brevity it more than outstays its welcome. Cue the hate mail.
