From the moment I first heard the melody of "Distant Horizon" I thought this track is building into something good and that it does. Boasting such an addictive feel "Distant Horizon" is the first classic style symphonic metal speedster off metal band ReinXeed's pleasing new album A New World.
Vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist and producer Tommy ReinXeed has five prior studio releases with his namesake symphonic/power metal group and this new album is another that should keep the fans happy. ReinXeed's sturdy musicianship and equally strong songs make A New World easy to like, and thanks to albums like this it really is little wonder why this metal sub-genre is still so popular. Coupled with the upbeat musical vibe A New World is one of those albums that has many surprises to keep you smiling.
Second track "Into The Darkness" keeps the speed going along with more of that gripping guitar slaying and "Northern Allstars" like elsewhere has plenty of metal appeal. A song title that will grab many a fans attention is "Guitar Hero" and you can't have a song with that name without laying down some serious shredding. No problems for ReinXeed as the drums and bass are pumping driving hard and their guitars are soaring into an extended solo spot. The title and what is most probably this album's best song also brings it to a close, "A New World" is also the longest track with great vocals, captivating music and effective tempo changes.
A New World by ReinXeed has been on a regular rotation and I know that I will continue to listen thanks to what's on offer.
