Youth and enthusiasm are two elements certainly not lacking from the new heavy metal outfit Lunar Explosion. Scarlet Records have taken Lunar Explosion on board to release their debut one that was mixed by Matti Stancioiu (Labyrinth, Vision Divine)
Lunar Explosion's songs are melodic and vibrant with a somewhat generous guitar component, and the Italian's obviously are another that enjoy performing the likes of classic and power metal. Lunar Explosion gives you an upbeat galloping metal tunes from the get go "Vasa Warship", soaring solos and vocals, vigorous drums and those quite likeable songs with "The Nest Of The Swan" and "The King Of Judas" though more wouldn't hurt.
So does this album take off or crash and erupt like the band's destructive name? Well Lunar Explosion should have a safe launch, though with so much else similar available Lunar Explosion just needs an added dose of that "something else" to give me the urge to warrant going back for more.
