Spooner, Marc: A Rite of Spring

Marc Spooner is the keyboardist for the symphonic progressive rock band Metaphor. Marc decided to record Stravinsky's masterpiece, A Rite of Spring in time for the 100th anniversary of the famous riotous premiere of the ballet. Marc is a fan of Wendy Carlos, Tomita and Synergy, who had never done an adaptation of the famous work. So Marc decided to do it. Marc re-created the famous work using vintage Moog, ARP, and Roland synths with a dash of a modern Kurzweil plus a generous helping of Mellotron.

This is an excellent representation of this classic work using modern and vintage electronics from the past to bring to life this cosmic celebration of the Earth's annual "re-birth". Fans of Wendy Carlos, Tomita and Synergy will love Marc's interpretation of this classic.

Put on your head phones, ease back the comfortable chair and enjoy A Rite of Spring delivered to you with electronic magic. You'll have to use your imagination to re-create the ballet.
