Think these guys have a fascination with the serial killings of the notorious Jack the Ripper? That very well could be after giving a listen to the gory death metal of From Crotch to Crown from Dutch act Prostitute Disfigurement. Last time I experienced the brutal sounds of this band was their 2009 release Descendants of Depravity, which was a very solid affair of technicality and extreme bludgeoning. They seem to have upped the ante here, as From Crotch to Crown just crushes from start to finish, and the lyrical content even more grotesque this time around. "Battered to the Grave" just pulverizes with unrelenting brutality, the effective growls spewing out venom while the jackhammer drum blasts & churning guitar riffs grab your head and obliterate it into complete mushy gore. "Crowned in Entrails" ? Come on, need I say more? Love the weaving technical riffing on tracks like "Dismember The Transgender", "Under the Patio", and "Set Forth To Annihilate", while Niels Adams' completely brutal vocal delivery on the raging "Reduced to Stumps" just, well, brutalizes.
From Crotch to Crown is a no-brainer for anyone into gore soaked technical death metal. 'Nuff said!
