Endless Storm is the full-length debut of melodic power metal group Mindfeeder. Mindfeeder are heavily influenced by many of European power metal's most prominent including Helloween, Gamma Ray, Iron Savior, Stratovarius, Edguy and Angra. You can hear that healthy influence in their songs like that of Edguy or as I should say the Edguy of a past time.
While Endless Storm is the Portuguese metal groups first album Mindfeeder have actually been around for a while now allowing plenty of time to hone their skills. It was 2003 when they kicked of as Inertia then in 2004 the band changed names and became Mindfeeder releasing an EP in 2006.
Endless Storm is the work of a group that have their finger on the pulse while playing it safe sticking to the familiar European power metal traits. Delivering what the fans of traditional European power metal are hungry for with hook charged riffs, soaring solos, uplifting keyboards, vibrant drums and catchy melodic choruses Mindfeeder are up to the task. With cracking songs like "Colors Of The Skies", "Endless Strom" and "Feed Your Mind" and the much longer more adventurous "Memories (Suite In IV Parts)". The only downside to Endless Storm is the closer "Our Side Of Life" a song that I just couldn't get into and in the context of this album it sounds out of place.
For the most part yes Mindfeeder's Endless Storm may be your typical release, though this album presents ample appeal thanks to that energized vibrant power metal.
