Our Love Becomes a Funeral Pyre is the 10th Anniversary release of the experimental project of S.A. Hynninen, also going under the moniker of March 15, and includes the 2004 March 15 EP and three new songs from 2010 and 2013. It's available on vinyl only and limited to 315 copies. What you might call this stuff I really don't know, but to these ears it's just pure noise, and not good noise at that. Loud static reverberating over screams, droning feedback, moans, whispers, clanging & clanking...it's just not a very easy or enjoyable listen. "Claustrophilic Love of the Warm Dark Places" must be what it feels like to have a parasitic worm squirming around under your skin, and most of the other tracks remind me of when I was a kid and my Dad used to constantly flip around the AM radio dial in the car trying to get any station to play something, but all you would hear is annoying static. Normally I like a lot of what the Svart Records crew releases, but this is just awful and I'm not quite sure who the audience is for this type of noise. Be warned.
