Those responsible for the old school thrash style recording Divide And Conquer are the Greek group Suicidal Angels who debuted with the album Eternal Domination in 2007.
Yes that is a thrash band from Greece, now there's a place we don't usually associate with thrash metal. When I think of Greece and metal music it's actually those power and progressive acts like Firewind and Until Rain and more extreme metal bands that come to mind not thrash. Suicidal Angels show that geographical location proves no obstacle to this popular metal subgenre.
Playing 80's style metal Suicidal Angels are another that bring back the memories of a time when many of the best metal releases were thrash related, and that trend continues today thanks to many of thrash metal more reliable acts like Kreator, Testament and Overkill. Featuring a good deal of super catchy riffs, multiple tempo shifts and you can hear that inspiration from other 80's vintage American and European groups Divide And Conquer is a traditional thrasher right down to the production, song titles and artwork.
Divide And Conquer is not too dissimilar to what we've heard many times before, but taken for what it is Divide And Conquer is a pretty darn catchy thrash release thanks to tracks like "Seed Of Evil", "In The Grave", "Terror Is My Scream" and the impressive closer "White Wizard".
