For their latest platter of brutal, technical death metal, Switzerland's Near Death Condition give you everything you would expect from a release on the Unique Leader label. That's right, look for plenty of absolutely crushing, intricate riffing, spellbinding solos, acrobatic drum work, pulverizing arrangements, and some inhuman growls, bellows, and screams. A formula done to death perhaps? Well, you could say that, but these guys really have put together some intense stuff here on Evolving Towards Extinction. It's hard to ignore those massive riffs on "Pandemic of Ignorance", and the complex interplay of "Between the Dying and the Dead" or "Intelligent Design". Blazing blast beats flutter underneath some ominous growls and bone crunching riffs on the menacing "The Anatomy of Digust", while the title track, "Communicating With Emptiness", and "Vertigo" just rampage with murderous intent.
This is a punishing and deadly release, sure to please fans of Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Gorguts, Behemoth, Deicide, and Death. If you can't get enough brutal & technical death metal, here's another winner for you from the always dependable folks over at Unique Leader.
