You can add 4th Dimension to the ever growing list of stirring Italian symphonic power metal groups, and their latest effort should have them well placed. As 4th Dimension's second release Dispelling The Veil Of Illusions is a strong album presenting an appealing option for fans of vibrant melodic power metal.
Founded by vocalist Andrea Bicego and keyboard player Talete Fusaro 4th Dimension has been honing their skills and touring with well known metal acts. Like Vision Divine and many others 4th Dimension's vivid keyboards play a sizeable part in their buoyant sound. Also they aren't the heaviest of power metal groups as 4th Dimension join Freedom Call on the feel good happier side of power metal.
There is nothing really radical about 4th Dimension's songs, as I was reminded of other groups including Elvenking, Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica. 4th Dimension maybe aren't at their level quite yet though this didn't hamper my enjoyment of Dispelling The Veil Of Illusions. Thanks to vibrant tunes like "Kingdom of Thyne Illusions" and "Quantum Leap" and many others they very well could be one day, as 4th Dimension shows a good deal of potential with Dispelling The Veil Of Illusions.
