Dawn Of The New Centurion is the new album from U.S thrash metal act Hatriot, a group that features former Testament vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza. Souza also had two stints with Exodus and it was recently announced that he is in fact returning to the band, though this doesn't spell the end for Hatriot. Joining Souza in the line-up are his sons bassist Cody Souza and drummer Nick Souza. With the guitars of Kosta "V" and Miguel Esparza together they perform old school Bay Area thrash metal.
Releasing their debut album Heroes Of Origin in early 2013, Hartiot haven't wasted any time returning in 2014 and following that release up with the fast and furious metal recording Dawn Of The New Centurion.
Dawn Of The New Centurion has plenty of scintillating metal on hand from the politically charged explosive track "My Cold Dead Hands" Hatriot sure aren't pussy footing around. There's a stream of frantic beats on Dawn Of The New Centurion and the slower compelling head banging inclusions aren't forgotten, "The Fear Within" is one such varied track. That rampant thrash doesn't dominate take the curiously titled "Superkillafragsadisticactsaresoatrocious" where Hatriot's mid paced metal gets a turn.
Dawn Of The New Centurion is a worthy companion to the recent releases by thrash metal goliaths Testament and Exodus.
