Crucified: Dead of Sleep

I am a long-term fan of punk rock music. My punk of choice, 80s hardcore, is no longer common to the scene, but its power is still very much with us in lots of other bands that found inspiration in those wonderful bands. As I listen to this EP, I feel confident that the members of members of Crucified know their hardcore history. All these songs are short, fast, passionate, and pounding. No, these songs aren't a return to the past, but they do include the occasional nod to the rawness and power of hardcore past. I especially liked Nick Rockwell's raw vocals. This guy gives it everything he's got. The other guys are right behind him, tearing things up in just the way punk rock requires.

Crucified is no longer together and this EP is their final offering. It's worth a listen. Check out "Apathy" for sure. But if you've got ten minutes, give the whole thing a go.
