Guns For Hire is a release by the Australian act Convent Guilt, based in Sydney the band initially got together in 2011. With a rock/punk vibe at times Guns For Hire is also Convent Guilt's first full length album, and is a middle of the road kind of heavy metal recording quality wise. Guns For Hire shows that Convent Guilt aren't a band that are lacking potential and their assets predominantly lie with the guitar and bass work. But this release is ultimately dragged down by a sound that doesn't do it justice at times, and the strength of the vocals. So while Guns For Hire isn't without its merits you just feel that with some improvements this album could have been something so much more.
