Soundcrawler: The Dead-End Host
This is an impressive debut album by a band that sounds like Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Truckfighters, and Alice in Chains. The band is especially good at writing big, dynamic, guitar riffs that stand out from the rest of the music. The band also features rough and bluesy vocals that fit squarely into a mid-90s heavy rock vibe. Fortunately, the band does not simply nod to its influences, a good thing since the 90s seem so long ago. Instead, the band created a series of strong songs hewn from the heavy rock of big riffs, strong vocals, and swaggering rhythms.
