Imperia is a multinational metal group with members from Finland,Norway,Belgium and Germany, Imperia have three prior albums having released their debut The Ancient Dance Of Qetesh in 2004. Imperia's new album is Tears Of Silence and if your a fan of Xandria, Nightwish, Sirenia, Leaves' Eyes, Amerberian Dawn and the like then you'll most probably find Imperia's newest release Tears Of Silence very worthwhile as I have. Whilst to a point their music shares similarities to others lead vocalist Helena Iren Michaelsen sure has her own engaging varied style which is nice to hear, and is well suited to the bands powerful/orchestral output.
The band sure isn't short on appealing ideas such a the traditional musical component on the striking song "Crossroads" adding to the variety that you will find on Tears Of Silence. With so many similairiutes between these symphonic styled female fronted metal groups any difference sure helps and while Tears Of Silence may not be something totally new Imperia's latest still deserves to be given a chance. The more time you spend with Tears Of Silence the more that attraction grows as there's ample quality material included on Tears Of Silence and the performances and production are spot on.
