Twisted Ace: Power Of III

A band who released one NWOBHM single, 'Firebird', return over thirty years later with a trio of excellent AOR numbers. 'Never Again' is the Twisted Ace in this deck as singer Colin Robinson unleashes a lusciously smooth voice that marks him out as a long lost talent re-found. Guitarist Phil Haywood puts in an impressive display as 'Shout It Out' reminds of a less exuberant No Sweat, while 'Broken' takes us more into heart breaking Mr.Mister/Cutting Crew meets Foreigner or early Bon Jovi territory. Power Of III may not be what was expected from a band who shared stages with Girlschool in the 80s but it sure is a real Melodic Rock delight.
