Here we have the 2007 demo from defunct French doom act Weird Light, now being released to the metal masses by Shadow Kingdom Records. Doomicvs Vobiscvm contains the two original demo tracks, plus two unreleased songs, making for a full length of epic doom for any fan of Candlemass or Solitude Aeternus. Massive, punishing riffs permeate these four songs, with pounding drums and high pitched vocals soaring over the top on lumbering tracks like the epic "GogMagog (Under the Trumpets of Doom)", the menacing "Conspiracy of the Dead", and the piledriving doom of "Obsidian Temple". As each tune tops the 9-minute mark, you get over 40 minutes of dark, mighty doom throughout Doomicvs Vobiscvm, and it's a real shame these guys couldn't keep this band going long enough to do anything more. If you love this sort of thing, this is a rarity you'll want to seek out.
