BASSORAMA is the latest album by composer/bass player Alberto Rigoni, well actually he's more than that as he plays all the instruments and does an admirable job. In line with the tile BASSORAMA this is one album for anyone who appreciates the talents of someone who is major component of the band but doesn't always get the attention they deserve, namely the one on the bass. BASSORAMA does include guest performances by other notable players and those participants are Divinity ROXX (Beyonce) Nik West (Prince), Stu Hamm (Satriani, Gambale) , Lars Lehmann (Vinnie Moore, UFO), Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), Anna Sentina, Steve Lawson and Remco Hendrix. Alberto took a different route to his four prior solo albums the last of which was 2014's Overloaded as the focus on those albums was progressive rock, metal and fusion, where as style wise BASSORAMA is an experimental album influenced by funk, fusion, electro, ambient and rock. As a result besides a good dose of groove and funk BASSORAMA is a varied release to say the least and "Wanna B." is a great example of that and it works a treat incorporating rock, latin, elctronica, dance and there's even a banjo in the mix. BASSORAMA is one vibrant album that makes for a fun listen and is easily recommended.
