Dim Days Of Dalor the new album by Norwegian Gothic metal group Sirenia is sure to impressive many a metal fan. There has been a significant change since that last album The Seventh Life Path as it would appear that this time around Sirenia have a new lead vocalist. Emmanuelle Zoldan is their latest leading lady although she is actually not a stranger to the band. Emmanuelle is a long time contributor to Sirenia's albums as a member of the choir, and I have to say that Emmanuelle really does have a very agreeable voice. I do suppose that time will tell especially in a live situation if she is as good as their very talented prior vocalist Ailyn, and it's interesting to note that Ailyn actually retained the role for the longest period so far that is from 2008 until 2016. If Emmanuelle's performances on Dim Days Of Dalor are any indication whether it be the operatic, rocking or gentler style vocals she is most adaptable, and I'm sure she will be very well received by the fans.
Since being formed by Morten Veland in 2001 Sirenia have recorded so many addictive tracks, and that's what you find once again right here and songs like title number "Dim Days Of Dolor". Dim Days Of Dalor is a powerful and melodic album, and vocally Morten Veland also appears once again with his darker input, and he also recorded clean vocals with which he takes the lead on "Veil Of Winter". There are so many great albums still appearing in 2016, and that includes those from female fronted symphony metal groups thanks to Epica's The Holgraphic Principle , Dirge For The Archons from Diabulus In Musica and you can also include Dim Days Of Dalor by Sirenia.
