Hevidence: Nobody's Fault
Another melodic hard rock release from the prolific Frontiers label, Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of Italian Prog Metallers DGM and from who he moved on from a decade ago. The songs here are very much based around Reali's guitar wizardry with plenty of classically infused sections that blends his love of early Malmsteem with power metal and old school classic hard rock overtures. Completing the line-up for the unusually named Hevidence is fellow DGM bassist Andrea Arcangeli along with drummer Emiliano Bonini and vocalist Corrado Quoiani – the latter who has a voice that certainly would not sound out of place were it to be found in Glenn Hughes-era Deep Purple. 'Dig In The Night' makes for a forceful opener with its wailing solos and the hard rocking 'Overdrive' and rapid fire 'All I Ever Needed' also make a strong impression. And unlike some of their label-mates Hevidence has not been conceived as a studio only project and an album launch show in Rome has already taken place with more live dates planned for 2017.
