Here's a band who are clearly still in love with the commercial hard rock & metal sounds of the 1980s, and if you are too, then it's easy to recommend Wild at Heart, the new eOne Music release from Canadian rockers The Wild!. Chock full of anthemic choruses, thick guitar riffs, and pounding drums, Wild at Heart seems unearthed from a time capsule dated 1988, which for many, that will be a good thing. Comprised of Dylan Villain (Vocals/Lead Guitar), The Kid (Guitars / Backing Vocals),
Boozus (Bass/Vocals), and Reese Lightning ( Drums), you get the feeling these guys don't take themselves too seriously, and maybe that's the point. Fun rockers like "Livin' Free", "Ready to Roll", "Another Bottle" "Best in the West", and "Rattlesnake Shake" all recall AC/DC, Krokus, Cinderella, and Great White, bluesy, boozy guitar riffs and high pitched vocals taking center stage for a rip roaring fun time. Though there's not a shred of originality happening here, it almost doesn't matter as these guys are just good at what they do, and any fan of mid/late '80s heavy rock will certainly find much to sink their teeth into throughout Wild at Heart.
