Rückwater: Bonehead (EP)

Yes, you're reading the name right: Rückwater has diacritical marks above the "u." I'm not sure if it has specific meaning or, as with Mötorhead, it just looks cool. Let's assume the latter. Rückwater plays alternative stoner rock that bumps and boogies with warmth, personality, and just enough messiness. They've shared the stage with Belladonna and Karma to Burn and fans will hear some comparisons to those bands. For my money, I hear Red Fang, not only in songs like "No Gain" or "Once More with Feeling" but also in the twin vocals. Rückwater delivers the goods on this release. The band sounds great and the songwriting is playful and smart. Stoner rock may sound easy to play, but it has much more nuance than people think. This band does the music justice. In addition to the opening and closing tracks, check out, "No Gain."

Track Listing:
1. Once More with Feeling
2. No Gain
3. Labyrinth
4. Super Frustration
5. Bonehead
