At first glance, this is a straightforward split; it features two bands that provide us with two tracks each. The first two, from Funeral Storm, are strong songs that nod to classic Greek black metal. Though Iron Bonehead Productions typically focuses on the rawer side of extreme metal, Funeral Storm has a natural home there. The two songs here show off the band's strengths. Of the two, I prefer "The Necromancer." The other two tracks, by Celestial Rite, are even more raw and edgy. They are also the last two tracks from the band. Both are good, but I preferred "Rites of the Sea God" over "Into the Gorge."
